Tony Ung

Tony Ung is a storyteller at heart working as a film director, photographer, and creative director. His work spans viral branded content featured in Vogue, creative direction for Pinterest and Adobe, and a feature-length documentary film, all rooted in a sharp instinct for cultural timing and narrative. He creates branded content that resonates deeply and lingers long after the first impression.

With over 20 years of media production experience, Ung has collaborated with global brands including Google, Starbucks, TikTok, Ebay, and Thom Browne, shaping stories that stand out in today’s fast-moving media landscape.

A multi-hyphenate creative from Long Beach, California, Ung’s perspective is shaped by his diverse Southern California upbringing. Raised in a household blending Chinese, Cambodian, and Vietnamese cultures with American influences, he spent his formative years attending DIY music shows, surfing up and down the coast, and exploring his creativity through a camera.

After years working at leading ad agencies such as Media Arts Lab and 72andSunny, he founded his own production company to focus on creating original films and branded content that sit at the intersection of culture, craft, and storytelling.
